Organized campaigns to interfere with entry to abortion facilities have included hate crimes and violence ever since Roe v Wade legalized abortion in 1973. Pro Life extremists are cruel and pretentious sinners that verbally assault, harass, shame and terrorize women upon arrival at clinics. Now that Roe has been overturned, anti-abortion radicals plan to up the ante and increase horrific activities in states where abortions remain a legal option.

Do Christian churches support abusive double standards and crucifying human beings in times of physical and mental crisis? The Religious Right is Dead Wrong and should take a look in the mirror. Members should be ashamed of themselves and learn humility, but sadly they are disingenuous and in denial. Why do so many voters in the Bible Belt selectively discriminate to hold social justice and human rights, hostage? Are politicians that support the inhumane behavior of pro life zealots any better?

Safety and Comfort Escorts are kindhearted, compassionate and considerate. Trained volunteers will assist with the thoughtful care, protection and well-being of anxious women before and after they cross blockades of angry mobs. Safety and Comfort Escorts (SCE) can serve as invited companions that meet patients at prearranged locations before they get to the facility. The patients will be given a hug and told what to expect upon arrival at the clinic. The SCE will then communicate the arrival time to the established presence of Pro-Choice supporters at the clinic. The supporters at the facility will be ready to greet the patient before the anti-abortion protesters get to them. They will all hold hands to form a protective bubble and peacefully escort patients all the way to the door. Pro Choice advocates will utilize calming deescalation tactics to avoid conflict and violence. The SCE is not required to stay until the medical procedure is over.

When the woman is ready to leave the clinic she will have the option to contact the group on the ground for pick up service. An SCE can go inside to meet the woman and walk her out. Pro-Choice advocates outside will again join in and hold hands. After completely passing all pro life agitators, the SCE will provide additional comfort, best wishes and a final hug. These protocols are a work in progress and will be perfected.
